Professor Chang Lin is deputy dean of the Institute of Evidence Law and Forensic Science of China University of Political Science and Law (CUPL), vice director of the Key Laboratory of Evidence Science (CUPL) of the Ministry of Education. He is also the director of the Fada Institute of Forensic Medicine & Science, professor, doctoral supervisor. Professor Chang is subeditor of the journal of Evidence Science, the president of Beijing Association of Forensic Service, deputy secretary general of the Chinese Forensic Medicine Association, and member of editorial board of China Forensic Medicine Journal, vice director of Professional Committee of Forensic Clinical Medicine (Chinese Forensic Medicine Association), vice director of Forensic Medicine Branch Association of China Criminal Technique Standardization Committee, member of Experts Bank for Forensic Service Committee of Chinese Medical Association and Beijing Medical Association, and an executive committee member of International Association of Evidence Science.
His main works are as follows: Research on Forensic Service Cases (chief editor), Law of Forensic Medicine (joint chief editor). He participated in writing and editing many books, such as, Practice of Forensic Clinical Medicine Examination, Practice of Forensic Medicine Pathological Examination,, Evidence Law. Here are parts of his academic papers: Research on Evolution of Trace Evidence Examination in Abroad, Discussion of Improving the Forensic Service Institution Selection System in Civil Procedure, Discussion of Improving the Forensic Examiner Assistant System in Our Country, Research on Forensic Examination and the Issues of Cases Ending, Demarcation Line Between Forensic Examination and Judges’ Cognition for Forensic Examination, Research on the Character of Forensic Examination for Motor Vehicle Drivers in Traffic Accidents, Discussion of the Ten Big Problems in the Reform of Forensic Examination, Discussion of Forensic Examination Standards and Principles for Injury Degree Cases, Discussion of Disciplinary Orientations of Forensic Pathology and Its Related Forensic Examination Issues, Discussion of the Relationship Between Forensic Expert Opinions and Details of the Cases, etc. Some of projects presided by him are as follow: he was appointed as chief expert in Major Research Project of the Ministry of Education, Research of the Legal Issues on Solution Mechanism of Medical Disputes in 2006; Research of the Influencing Factors Model of Road Traffic Injury Cases— Special Fund of National Natural Science Fund in 2008.
